Project description

MultiRotorResearch is creating a unique drone-as-service platform where anyone can rent a fully autonomous drone to perform important tasks. These tasks range from automated infrastructure inspection of windmills to automated biodiversity monitoring by counting wildflowers. Our solution compromises a simple-to-use online management platform and a unique drone-for-hire service. Combined, they enable anyone to use the power of drones for their use case.

Results

After half a year of work, the platform is almost ready to be sued by customers. It has been successfully integrated with a new drone, which is much more stable than the previous version. The platform can reliably process data/pictures collected by drone and turn it into an interesting result for the customer whether it is a 3D map, a heatmap of litter detected within the area or anything else. The project idea has been validated by talking to potential customers. The received feedback resulted in improvements to the UI of the platform, which is now simpler to navigate and provides the customer with all the important information.
