Project description
Design a digital interaction to enable people without epilepsy to better understand and support those with epilepsy by informing them in an interactive workshop with visual experiences.
Context
This project was conducted within the context of healthcare. People who do not have epilepsy cannot fully understand what a person with epilepsy might be going through. It was our task to create a visual experience where people could see what it is like to have epilepsy through a day in the life scenario.
Results
The final prototype delivered was an interactive video where the viewer needs to make choices. Based on their choices the video takes a certain route with twists and turns. You might avoid a trigger for a seizure but otherwise you might as well trigger one. The most important insight was that epilepsy is far more than just the seizures. It is a whole lifestyle that needs to be altered just to mitigate the effects and risks of the condition.
