Project description
Our project contains of creating a solution for Military drone operators to keep practicing their skills, even when flying with a real drone is not possible due to full airspaces.
The solution that we are creating is a Drone Flying simulator, focused towards realism within drone maneuvering and the tactical deployment of drones. With this we try to put the focus on how drones are used within military operations, that stimulate the player to use their drone skills for these serious causes. While also keeping their skills up to standard with the realistic depiction of drone maneuvering within the simulator.
Context
The domain in which this project fits is Game Design / User Interaction. Focusing on the needs of our target audience, being military drone pilots. These are needs such as realism, tactical deployment and being challenged.
Results
While creating and testing this solution, we found out that realism is the most important factor of realizing such a simulator. Depicting a world of physics that comes as close as possible to how these fundamental drone physics work in real life, is of utmost importance to keep the skills of these Military drone pilots up to standard.
About the project group
We are QuantumMonkey Studios, a serious game company (fictional) focused towards educating professionals and broadening their skillset.
Our vision is to get people to try new experiences and broaden their skillset. With our main mission being to train people to turn them into real life professionals through a fun and engaging experiences.
