Project description
Design a strategy turn-based rpg game to enable players who enjoy strategy and/or turn-based rpgs to craft their own unique strategies in order to beat the various challenges the game throws at you.
Context
We worked with our teachers' game studio (DFS) to design and create our game, Aeon Chronicle. The game is a turn-based strategy rpg, which future student groups will be extending in the coming semesters.
Results
We have laid a solid foundation for our game idea. At the start of the semester we came up with an idea, which we pitched to our teachers' studio. We then worked out the idea, decided in which direction we wanted to take it, and have been working on realizing as much as possible ever since. From the start we knew there was way too much to be done for just two people, but this was fine, since it was planned from the start for this to be a multi-semester project. Overall we've done a lot of work in designing and creating the game, and we managed to get a full approval at the Dragons' Den event earlier in the semeter because of it.
About the project group
We are a small group with primarily a software background who have been working together during multiple previous semesters at Fontys. We work together fluidly, playing to each other's strengths and weaknesses.
