Project description
This project focuses on detecting color changes during chemical experiments in laboratories using the OpenCV library and the NVIDIA Jetson TX2. The aim was to create an efficient and reliable system that can monitor and identify color changes in real-time, providing valuable data for chemical analysis and safety monitoring.
Context
In modern labs, keeping an eye on chemical reactions is very important for both research and safety. Traditional methods of visually checking these reactions can be unreliable and time-consuming. To improve this, our project aims to automate the detection of color changes during chemical experiments using advanced technology. By using the NVIDIA Jetson TX2 for real-time video processing and adding extra sensors to monitor temperature, humidity, and pH levels, our team aims to provide a better solution that makes chemical analysis more accurate and efficient. This project shows our skills in embedded software and our dedication to improving lab practices with innovative technology.
Results
A camera system with automatic color detection monitoring the chemical experiment complete with a nice user interface to navigate and review past experiments that has been stored in the database.
About the project group
This project focuses on detecting color changes during chemical experiments in laboratories using the OpenCV library and the NVIDIA Jetson TX2. Our team, consisting of four members with a background in embedded software, dedicated three days a week to developing this system. The aim is to create an efficient and reliable solution that can monitor and identify color changes in real-time, providing valuable data for chemical analysis and safety monitoring.
We also added extra sensors including temperature, humidity, and pH sensors to provide a comprehensive monitoring system. These sensors collect additional data that uploaded to the cloud database.
