Chatbot optimisation on the Oracle Digital Assistant platform
Project description
Two years ago CY2 developed a text based chatbot with the main purpose of answering questions about the “toelatingstoets” and implemented it in the website of Inholland (Hogeschool Inholland, 2024). In the loggings of this bot they can see the users are not getting an answer to their question. Because the bot was created 2 years ago it’s using out-of-date technology and new FAQ features have been introduced on the used platform.
The goal of this project is to optimise the chatbot using the loggings of the current chatbot and the new features of the platform.
Context
Since 2007, CY2 is enhancing the experience of schools and universities across the world using different software solutions. In short, they are a consultancy located in ‘s-Hertogenbosch which develops solutions for educational institutes around the world. With over 15 years of experience they have completed more than 300 projects across 50 global institutions.
CY2 builds all their chatbots on the Oracle Digital Assistant (ODA) platform. This is a huge platform where you can build your own chatbot from scratch or speed up the process by using pre-built platform features. A lot of large companies build their chatbots using ODA, like FedEx, Center Parcs, Razer and more.
Our chatbot is in use by InHolland University of Applied Science and helps potential students to find information about the 'toelatingstoets'; als je geen havo-, vwo- of mbo 4-diploma hebt kun je, als je 21 jaar of ouder bent, de toelatingstoets maken om toch te beginnen aan een HBO opleiding.
Results
The main deliverables are an implementable optimised chatbot, an implementation plan and a business advice.
