Project description
Our challenge was to develop something that can raise awareness to the steady decline of air quality in Eindhoven (in the world).
Context
Our product is an AI model that can forecast air pollutant values in Eindhoven. It uses monitor data in Eindhoven in combination with weather data to create these predictions.
The product can be labelled under health care as it will be available as a mobile device which will track your location and measure your exposure to the pollutants in Eindhoven.
Results
After multiple iterations of creating models and applying feedback we still have more room for improvement regarding the accuracy.
We have learned great insights regarding predicting the pollutant concentrations such as variables which affect the values e.g. air pressure, sun light exposure etc.
About the project group
We are a group of 4 people, with each having similar IT experience. We each worked together gathering the data, cleaning, processing and developing a neural network that can predict future air pollutant concentration values.
We all worked mostly on location and held regular meetings with our stakeholder to keep him up-to-date with our progress.
