Who?
Job van Heck is our client for the GAC 2 project and the main initiator.
What?
GAC wants to implement AI within the user implantation processes to improve their implementation with Business Central.
Where?
Within Business Central, Trade365.
Why?
To improve both the customer and GAC dominant logic* with the help of AI to think outside the box.
When?
The diagnostic phase provides the basic guidelines for the AI solution that will be implemented in the implementation (phase) within the OIT phase. (see Projectdraaibroek GAC)
How?
To select an AI solution that enhances the efficiency of internal processes in implementation for both the customer and GAC.
1.2.2 Goal
To integrate an AI solution compatible with Business Central and Trade365 that enhances process efficiency improving both GAC's internal processes and the solutions provided to their clients.
Context
GAC Business Solutions is a company that helps businesses digitally transform by providing innovative Microsoft software solutions tailored to various industries. Its headquarters is in Oirschot, the Netherlands with additional locations in Gent, Belgium, and Bunnik, the Netherlands. The company employs around 140 people and serves over 400 customers across various industries.
They offer specialized products and services that improve operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and innovation. Their clients range from small businesses with 10+ users to large enterprises with 500+ users. GAC emphasizes long-term partnerships through their philosophy of "Growing Together," focusing on mutual growth. Their goals include enhancing client success and fostering sustainable business growth. They are also involved in corporate social responsibility initiatives, supporting causes like cancer research and child welfare.
GAC has business solutions for different kinds of industries. That means that the following are involved for this assignment (trade companies):
- Wholesale
- Online retail
- Production
The project is at first research based with at the end a small POC to show what the implementation is going to improve the current process for GAC and their clients.
Results
Main research question:
To what extent can AI support and optimize regular trade processes for GAC within Business Central?
Sub research questions
- What are the key principles and business practices that define the operational logic of a typical trade company?
- What is the current implementation process within the OIT phase?
- Which AI innovation type is the most effective?
- How can the desired AI be functional within Business Central?
- How can these AI-driven innovations be conceptually and practically implemented to improve operational efficiency within GAC while using Business Central?
Conclusion:
The end solution will be based on Power automate/ PowerApps to get the best of both worlds with AI and other IT tools. We made this choice and got approval by Job van Heck and would like to see a prototype that can work inside their own environment. We do not know if we will fully develop inside Power automate, a python tool will most certainly be added to this process with the time we have left this semester.
The implementation plan is based on the PoC we currently created with some future advice as a add-on because of time constraints we had this semester.
