Festive (re)signing for organisations as partners with Fontys ICT
Last week, Fontys ICT welcomed 34 organisations to seal or renew their partnership. This is great news because well-trained talent is indispensable in the Brainport region. Through the Beethoven project, Fontys invests in training employees for the technology sector. Good cooperation between education and business is therefore essential.
Niek Schmitz, Fontys ICT partner coordinator: ‘We are very happy with our involved partners. Thanks to them, our students get to know the business world, but vice versa they also learn from our students. Thanks to this interaction, we are able to offer inspiring and innovative education and partners can continue to develop at the same time. The festive signing of the covenants is a ceremonial way to highlight and celebrate our joint effort.’
Partners in Innovation
On Thursday, 23 January, 11 organisations toasted to the ‘Partners in Innovation’ partnership. These partners work with third- and fourth-year students at the Fontys ICT InnovationLab on practice-oriented research.
After a warm welcome, plaques were received and it was time for networking. Afterwards, attendees visited Innovations Insight. This is the moment when students show what projects they have been working on. They present their research projects here.

Partners in Education
On Tuesday 21 January, nine partners were guests at the Fontys ICT location at MindLabs in Tilburg. Here they (re)signed their covenant as Partners in Education after which they visited Innovations Insight.
On Thursday 30 January, no fewer than 14 organisations (re)signed a covenant as Partner in Education at Fontys ICT. Beforehand, they were able to visit graduation sessions during the Graduation Conference.
In the first and second year of education, companies contribute to ICT education with practical case studies or projects. In addition, guest lectures or company visits can also be provided, teaching students to apply their new ICT knowledge in a relevant and practical environment. This is how we work towards an up-to-date and relevant ICT curriculum.
