Project description
The primary objective of the project is to address the main research question: "What is the most effective approach to generate 360 tours of properties available for purchase by utilizing easily uploaded 2D images or videos from users' mobile devices?"
Context
EcusTech is a company that delivers innovative solutions in various industries. They are our stakeholders, represented by Santiago Lara Rojas. The company is looking to build a responsive marketplace for real estate entities, agencies, and individuals offering their properties for rent or sale, including WiP or future projects in Ecuador. The project name is Habitat360.
Results
During the project, several solutions were explored, and it was determined that image stitching offers the most effective approach to address the problem at hand. With this solution in place, users can upload their 2D images to the system. Subsequently, the system utilizes machine learning software to process these images, ultimately presenting the users with a fully assembled 360-degree panorama as the end result.
About the project group
The group consists of 3 members in semesters 3, 6, and 7. They collaborate daily, working on various aspects of the project that are interconnected. They gather in person a few times per week to collaborate collectively and hold regular stand-up meetings. Additionally, every Thursday, the team convenes meetings with stakeholders and coaches to review progress, discuss the project's direction, and receive valuable feedback.
