Project description
The main research question focuses on exploring methods to engage residents, promote a sense of ownership, stimulate cooperation, and strengthen citizen participation in order to enhance the vitality of their neighborhood. It seeks to understand how questioning residents and involving them actively can contribute to positive changes in the community. The research aims to uncover strategies and approaches that empower residents to take responsibility for their neighborhood's well-being, encourage collaboration among community members, and foster a participatory environment where everyone has a voice.
Context
Our task is to develop an innovative solution that empowers all residents in our neighborhood to actively engage, take ownership, and cooperate in improving the vitality and overall quality of life in our community. By questioning residents, stimulating cooperation, and fostering a sense of ownership, we aim to create a collaborative environment where everyone can contribute to the betterment of our neighborhood. Our project falls into the domain of User Analysing, as our main goal is to gather data and build a community around it.
Results
During the course of our project, we came up with a few important insights:
* Increased User Engagement through gamification: By incorporating gamification elements, such as points and rankings, the platform aims to enhance user engagement. This approach can motivate users to actively participate in surveys, provide feedback, and suggest topics, as they strive to earn points and improve their rank.
* Enhanced Community Participation: The platform's features, such as the ability to suggest topics and comment on other users' suggestions, foster a sense of community and encourage active participation. Users can collaborate, share opinions, and provide feedback, creating a dynamic and interactive environment
*Sense of Ownership and Impact: Through personalized profiles, points, and rankings, the platform cultivates a sense of ownership and impact among users. Users can see their progress, contributions, and the influence they have on the platform.
*Higher Survey Response Rates: The gamified nature of the platform can incentivize users to complete surveys, as they earn points for their participation. This can result in higher survey response rates compared to traditional survey methods. Users may feel motivated to complete more surveys in order to accumulate points and unlock rewards or benefits associated with higher ranks.
About the project group
We are working together since the start of the semester. We are working in a waterfall method, as we researched that is the best framework for the project & client. We have spent roughly 40 hours a week working on the project in the TQ environment.
