Project description
Design and create an interactive simulation game in VR that will assist the employees/the public of ASML to visualize and understand better the concept and size of the nano chip.
Context
Our game will provide an immersive and interactive experience to the player in a room with objects of different sizes, including the nanochip and allow him/her to interact with them and change his/hers scale to view them form a different perspective, so that he/she understands the actual size of the nanochip.
In addition the simulation will give the people in ASML knowledge and understanding about the power and scale of a nano chip. This will be achieved by showing the player the 3 different chips (micro macro nano) and it will allow the user to interact with the chip by encouraging them to become smaller in size in order to see the nano chip.
Results
While we were creating this simulation we managed to learn a lot about the nano chip, its importance and size. We gained a lot of knowledge about VR game development and how many small and uncommon constraints it has. We learned how to create a simulation in VR without making the player sick which made us expand our knowledge also in biology.
