Project description
Given the broadness of the assignment- redesign, our preliminary step was to explore the impact it would have to users. We began to explore the research question " Why is redesigning Zenya important for employees at Maxima Hospital?" and soon enough we uncovered the main struggles they faced that lead to frustration using the tool. Lately, the design challenge that guided us throughout the project was "Users of the Zenya portal are not able to find and manage documents quickly and correctly, which often results in frustration and lack of interest using the tool."
Context
Although the portal is currently used by different clients, in different industries, the domain of this particular project is Healthcare as our use case was the Maxima Hospital. Infoland, approached us with the task of understanding how redesigning the portal they developed can have impact on their users and further assist them on their daily activities at work.
Results
Our digital clickable prototype summarises the extensive process we went through. It showcases various insights we gathered such as, the importance of clear filtering options when searching documents and the impact AI can have on rapidly give the users the results they are, at times, desperately to find. All of this, combining technology and giving some human touch to the platform.
About the project group
We are a multicultural group of 6 motivated students coming from all corners of the world: Uganda, The Netherlands, Bulgaria, China and Mozambique. Where, during 9 weeks, we worked on a project to redesign Zenya Portal, a SAAS platform used as a management tool. Our use case was Maxima Hospital. And, together we tried to understand the current issues users at the hospital face that makes the redesign of the platform an important action to take.
