Project description
Main objective of the project is to allow users cognitive enhancement and decrease brain overstimulation, stress when dealing with large amounts of data. From casual to highly sophisticated professional tasks - VINO AI provides a simple matrix for decision making support. VINO is an AI companion which users can employ in any situation. However, its role is more than only support in decision making. The project aims to shift the user perspective on information design and communication.
Context
Process mining & AI are two prime domains for R&D. Innovative interfaces and cognitive load are the second most important priorities.
It is a tool to establish a deeper and more profound connection with the world of technology, AI & data.
Knowledge transfer, information design, UI/UX are areas where the solution can be employed within the domains of process mining & AI. Ideal life of the user with the solution will be a cognitively enhanced state when operating large amounts of data.
Results
Full-stack web-based application prototype: Developed to an intermediate stage of TRL 4, the full-stack web-based application prototype reflects the culmination of active research and laboratory studies within the project's timeline.
User testing and design refinement: Iterative user testing played a crucial role in evolving the user experience, positioned at TRL 3. This corresponds to the analytical and experimental proof of concept, showcasing a dedication to refinement despite project constraints.
Research and development of LLM powered backend: Aligned with TRL 3, the research and development of the Language Model (LLM) powered backend highlights active research and initial laboratory studies within the project's scope.
Utilization of open-source LLMs and multimodal models for backend development: The project leverages open-source LLMs and multimodal models for backend development, emphasizing adaptability and strategic utilization in technology integration efforts, reaching TRL 4.
Sole responsibility for the entire project: Undertaking sole responsibility showcases a commendable hands-on approach, contributing positively to the overall project maturity, aligned with TRL principles.
Development and iterative approach for game lore and content: The iterative approach applied to game lore and content signifies a commendable effort, reaching TRL 2. This stage represents the formulation of technology concepts and applications.
Continuous refinement of the user journey: Corresponding to TRL 3, the continuous refinement of the user journey demonstrates analytical and experimental proof of concept, showcasing ongoing improvements within project constraints.
Additionally, the project enriched its scope by conducting research in cutting-edge process mining technology, incorporating heuristics to enhance its overall depth and innovation within the context of TRL principles.
About the project group
VINO AI started in Spring 2023 as a Wacky Wednesday project at Fontys ICT & Open Learning (backend). Some work done in summer (UI interactive prototype). And now it is a personal project at Delta led by one student. Working on UX research, implementing new development frameworks and AI.
