Project description
The main challenge of our project was the creation of a light-art project that could be showcased to visitors of the GLOW festival. This involved multiple rounds of prototyping with innovative technologies and user interaction tests while taking the festival’s theme into consideration.
We took this opportunity to showcase generative AI to the visitors and had to come up with an easy and engaging way to present this experience to the people.
Context
In a world where technology and art are becoming increasingly intertwined, it’s undeniable that there is also more interaction between computers and people. This raises an important question: is the rise of AI a progress for all of us, as it enhances creativity and artistic possibilities? Or is it a threat to authentic art, as it allows us to ‘borrow’ ideas from others for our own works?
Results
The most significant achievement of our project is the successful showcase at the GLOW festival for roughly a million visitors to see. Our team’s dedication and innovative approach allowed us to present our project which was the main goal of our project. The festival was an amazing week, as we observed people being amazed by their own art-works.
We were also nominated for the GLOW Talent Award for our innovative approach in showing AI to the public.
