Project description
Our main research question is a constant goal that we pursued:
How can the development and implementation of a socializing app enhance the overall experience for visitors of the Strijp TQ University Building, specifically focusing on facilitating social interactions, organizing events during school lunch breaks, and coordinating group food orders among students and teachers?
Context
In the semester 6 advanced media design at Fontys, we are required to do a group assignment where we get an assignment given to us by a company and in collaboration with a stakeholder from that company we try to make something useful for them by using our resources to research and our knowledge of concepts and making prototypes. For this assignment, we got an assignment from Fontys itself where we had to try to come up with an idea to improve the experience for visitors of the Strijp TQ environment. For this, we had to come up with different problems we ran into when we were in the area. We made a small list of problems and together with stakeholders we picked the problems we found most interesting to research and to come up with a solution. Each one of us picked the problem that they were most interested in and started working to come up with a solution to make this better. After the first week, we came together with our stakeholders and we concluded that it may be better to pick one or two of the problems and that we try to work as a team. Together with our stakeholders, we chose to work on the food/hangout socialising spots.
Results
Joehoe - your student app for socialising during lunch break time
The concept is an app or website designed for viewing, planning, and participating in social events during breaks or after working hours. The platform aims to foster community and encourage people to step away from their desks during breaks. For instance, users can plan activities such as a ball game tournament on the rooftop terrace, and others can join in.
About the project group
