Project description
Journalists in Gilze en Rijen convene weekly to collaborate on news articles. Presently, journalists are obliged to write the important points from these meetings manually. This is an issue as it consumes a significant amount of the journalist's time, time that could have been better spent on conducting research or engaging in discussing various topics.
The goal of the project is to help journalists find the digital tools designed for them and use them most efficiently. With this project, we are aiming to design a tool that helps journalists who are less tech-savvy use tools designed by software students at Fontys in the correct order.
"How can we design a user-friendly platform, for the Gilze en Rijen journalists, which ensures the correct sequence of usage and prompts the appropriate tool selection?"
Context
This project aims to help local journalists choose a proper AI tool in their workflow. Our focus is on journalists attending the municipality counselor meetings.
Results
We have designed a platform that helps them use AI tools in their work for more accuracy and speed. On this desktop app, they can create, edit, and publish it on social media
About the project group
The project was executed by a dedicated team of advanced media design students, investing 32 hours per week over 12 weeks, with an additional 8 hours per week devoted to individual efforts. Employing the agile methodology, we navigated through iterative cycles in each sprint, actively seeking and incorporating feedback from both experts and stakeholders along the way.
