Project description
Design an interactive story to enable children between ages 6 and 12 with diminishing eyesight to learn braille with the hable controller by creating a magical and welcoming world.
Context
The goal of this project is to create a game for children with Bardet-Biedl Syndrome(BBS). BBS is a rare disease that can create different symptoms, but one of the most common are different eyesight problems. We wanted to teach our players Braille alphabet with the help of Hable controller. This controller is quite popular among blind people, and they use it to type with Braille alphabet and control their phone. So our design challenge is Design an interactive story to enable children between ages 6 and 12 with diminishing eyesight to learn braille with the hable controller by creating a magical and welcoming world.
Results
The result of our work should be the MVP prototype containing one final level. The game should have final version of UI and game aesthetics. It should be possible to finish the game on Android phone using Hable controller.
