Project description
How do we make a Game for the Beastmaker Motherboard that keeps the user engaged in long rest periods, whilst still prioritizing the Exercise.
Context
Fitness, the project is made for the Beastmaker Motherboard, which is a device allowing users training their finger strength for climbing to see statistics about their growth. These numbers however, are interesting for experts, but not so for beginners.
Results
We have found that integrating the Exercises into a game, rather than 'filling in' the rest periods, worked much better to find a solution. With this the only constraints left were that the input was limited to the device, and that the device had some connectivity issues.
We solved the first problem by converting the possible output from the board and converting it to 3 inputs: previous, next and confirm.
With the help of our tutor, we also managed to connect to the board and gather it's data.
About the project group
Our group members originate from various previous Semesters, such as Infrastructure, Media, Software allowing for a nice variety in skills.
We decided it would be best for our group to Assign a Scrum Master and a Communication Master, and combine this with daily Stand up and Stand down meetings.
