Project description
During the semester we started this sideproject with the formula 1 game. Our main focus was to research what data we could get out of the game and what sort of visualisations we could make with this. To do this we used 3rd party software to gather data from the races and created python scripts to work with this data. After transforming the data, we put this in a streamlit application
Context
The domain of this project was gaming. Nowadays it is also possible to gather data from games from API calls or in this case a direct UDP stream that sends out data about the car
Results
The result of this project is a webapplication that allows us to compare drivers against eachother in a couple of factors like laptime, positioning on track, telemetry and some more.
About the project group
Our project group consists of 2 ICT & Business students from Fontys with a specialisation in AI. A student from Avans that has a similar background as the ICT & Business students from Fontys. Lastly we had one student with a financial background that is interested in formula 1 that teamed up with us.
