Project description

Globe Protocol created an authentication system called AnyID. With AnyID, users can create their own online identification that provides them with control, convenience and benefits of using and sharing their personal data, no matter the webshop. This means online sellers no longer have to rely on tracking cookies. The service allows the customer to participate in the data gathering process by allowing them to directly provide their information. Our goal was to make AnyID accessible to a big audience of webshop owners and managers by connecting it to an e-commerce platform. We also had to enable the customer to be able to search and filter through products. We referred to our part of the AnyID project as "AnyIDea".

The context of the project is e-commerce.

Results

The outcome of the project was a research for suitable databases & e-commerce platform to use, and a prototype with multiple microservices: A discount service, search query service, and a preferences service. We also created another service to communicate with CommerceTools, an e-commerce platform.
