Project description

Each team within this project had their own goals. For the Media team, the goals were to improve the branding of MRR, and create and improve pages of the UI of MRR's dashboard. The software team has been working on enhancing and refactoring the frontend implementation, and redesign and refactor the backend for scalability and maintainability. The AI team's goal was to improve the current AI model, and remove bias from the software.

Context

MultiRotorResearch BV is a new start-up from students of Fontys ICT. We are creating a smart autonomous drone platform capable of fully autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance. We have developed a unique AI based control method to fly drones fully autonomous using one single AI model. This single AI model is trained on human flying behavior using a method called behavior cloning. This system which we call End-2-End navigation, can avoid obstacles in even the most difficult situations.

Results

Each team has come up with different results. For example, the software team has now made it possible for the software and the dashboard to communicate with the drones. The Media team has created and improved pages of the dashboard.

About the project group

We have worked on this project for five months, two to three days a week. Within this project we have worked in three seperate groups, each with their own goals for the company.
