Project description
This project will improve the onboarding process for GAC clients by transforming it into a digital platform. With the new environment, customers will be able to set up the software and create basic functions at the initial stage. The project's goal is to fully understand the requirements of clients via the new platform, making the workloads of all stakeholders more efficient as well as optimizing the information distribution within GAC departments and GAC customers. Therefore, the main research question is how can the onboarding phase be improved to reduce time spent by consultants on service tasks?
Context
Currently, GAC's onboarding process is manual and requires a tremendous amount of effort from clients as well as the company. Customers mainly have to wait three months to start their projects due to limited resources available and heavy dependencies on the large number of projects they carry per month. This issue might negatively impact GAC's business performance since customers could lose their patience during the diagnosis phase and perhaps look for another company to implement the project faster.
Results
The deliverables of this project will be the project plan, the business advice, the implementation plan, and the minimal viable product (MVP). All deliverables are in four sprints. The first sprint is the project plan, while the second sprint focuses on the first version of business advice. The team will deliver the final version of business advice during the third sprint and come up with the implementation plan and the MVP within the last sprint.
A.
The Project plan serves as the project initiation, and it aims to define the project, enable assessment on the project’s success, and serve as a foundation for managing the project.
B.
The Business advice contains all research information that is relevant for the execution and completion of this project. The Business advice exists of 6 sub-products, namely: Fit-gap, Requirements analysis, Tool research, Portal Process Design, Portal Design, and Advice.
All the information provided in these sections will prove the solidity of the research and substructure any choices made & advice(s) given during this project.
C.
The Portal is the actual execution/implementation of the Portal. This is done by firstly combining all relevant information (Requirements & Designs) and complete any information still missing for designing the implementation. Once done, the Portal will be built accordingly.
D.
The Implementation plan contains a clear step-by-step guide on how the Portal (Designed in the B. Business Advice and partially implemented in C. Portal (MVP)) should be implemented into the GAC environment. By following the guide in this plan, the Portal should provide maximum value while minimizing friction.
