Project description
The goal of this project is to create an application capable of analyzing sound in real time, recognizing the emotions displayed in said sound, and activating different smart devices to convey the needed emotions back to the users ambient.
Context
The ambient and the atmosphere of our surroundings have a great impact on how we behave ourselves, as well as how we feel. In particular, visual and audio clues can affect the subconscious and help a person calm down, stay alert, or better understand what is going on around them in general. The advancement of technology in the realm of connectivity with many smart devices has made it possible to influence these surroundings with just one computer.
Results
The most important outcome of this project is to create an Artificial Intelligence model that can serve as proof that the final product can be achieved, as well as a recommendation on how to achieve it. The TR level of the project is 5, where an initial version of the system has been tested and proven to work in a relatively crowded area.
About the project group
Our project group consists of eight members of both the Software and Business background. Everyone on the project has worked with Artificial Intelligence to some extent in the past, be it during the first specialization, the internship, or both. We have been working on this project for five months, each of us spending up to 16 hours a week on it, sometimes more. WE have been working in an Agile Scrum way of working.
