Project description
The Digital Factory aims to adapt innovative ways of working to improve production processes in the factory and integrate data-driven innovations. This will be achieved through the integration of the following tools: International Data Space (IDS) and a multi-agent planning system tool.
The project ‘The Factory of the Future’ aims to create the outline for a Digital Factory, by implementing data-driven innovations throughout the factory production process. Digital Factory is also working on creating a test and validation environment which will enable the showcasing of different concepts which are related to the use of data for process improvement within the factories.
Context
The Digital Factory of the future is an innovative project that aims at validating industry 4.0 regarding the manufacturing of products in an autonomous space, .Industry 4.0 is seen as the fourth industrial revolution in human history. Industry 4.0 is seen as the ‘smart’ revolution where everything within the factory is interconnected. This means that factories are trying to remove human labor from the working floor.
Results
The project data flow is completely define , a "standard work order" has been found to standardised the way that the data are Processing and transmiting during the whole process , a lot of research has been done to be sure to use the right type of files for this project , different Guides had been created to give to the next Group of student that would be involve in this project a better understanding of the project and a way to continue the development of this one
About the project group
The project Group is composed of people with Engineering,Business,communication background from 3 countries: France,Netherland,Zimbabwe. This project last a semester .
