Project description
SeeThrough is Q & A Platform with Tinder flavours, Users can ask questions in selected communities and can answer them through a personalized question feed.
SeeThrough's main stakeholders are part of a research group at Fontys that focusses on visually impaired people so Accessiblity has been part of the project from day-one.
The stakeholders goals are defined as follows:
Can technology help visually impaired people with asking difficult and intimiate questions?
How do people respond and use this developed app?
Furthermore SeeThrough has been built with scalability in mind meaning an Event driven microservices architecture was the chosen approach. This architecture has been deployed in a kubernetes cluster.
Context
Software, App development, Visual impairment, Phycology, Behaviour, Accessibility
Results
A product that has a great level of accessibility for both visual impaired people and none impaired.
It proofs that applications can be build with accessibility on the for front and that it's just a matter of good cooperation between users and developers.
About the project group
3 of us followed demand based and 3 of us followed course based before this semester.
During this new Research based approach we worked on the group project 2 days a week in a lean and agile way.
We used Jira to keep track of our tasks, and did Pull Request reviews to ensure project quality.
Cheers,
Blind date group
