Project description

"Create analytic dashboard for Catering businesses in the region with all their context specific KPIs. This dashboard should enable business owner to monitor their business and be able to create customized visualization of different KPIs."

Context

"Vegafoodies is the online food ordering platform for vegetarian and vegan meals. With carefully selected restaurants across the country, we try to make the choice of meals as diverse and accessible as possible for you. Through our online food ordering platform you can compose your order with a few clicks of a button. Vegafoodies processes this order for you and makes sure it is prepared fresh and immediately for take-out or home delivery."

The Vegafoodies platform will be offered to restaurants, where it will mainly be used by restaurant owners. However, there is the freedom to shape the dashboard the way it is expected to be best for this platform. Different functions can be added or the application can be shaped into a different program. Because of this freedom, there are many different possibilities for this dashboard.

Results

The most important outcomes of this project are the different types of dashboards we created. I.e. a datavisualization dashboard in Power BI and a dashboard made in a Flask application.

These dashboards are formed based on the opinion of the stakeholder, experts and endusers. Before starting with creating the dashboards we did a full library research on every topic needed. We think the end product is on TR Level 6. This because we used a mockup dataset and the implementation hasn't been tested yet.

About the project group

Pim:
After completing semester 4 and 5 in Open Learning I started my third semester in this specialization. I'm interested in datamanipulation and datavisualization in Python and other programs or programming languages and I've chosen all my projects based on these interests.

Sven:
I'm a Semester 4 Open and Delta student with a propedeuse in Business. In open & Delta i'm focussing on professional development, organisation processes, user interaction and leading a projectgroup. I have a MBO4 diploma in network management with some Cyber Securty and Programming skills.

We both worked 4 days per week the full semester on this project. We used Agile Scrum as a project management method. Herefor we presented our deliverables every thursday and gave a sprint-presentation once every 3 weeks.
