Project description
For our project, we have been given three research questions by Abalanza, being:
- How to store data available from Abalanza users in a good, safe and efficient way?
- Which data can we use to demonstrate effectiveness of the Abalanza modules.
- Which data driven possibilities does the Abalanza system and it’s data offer (more)?
For this project, we have gained a dataset from the company to answer those research questions. Abalanza is a fairly new company, which makes it so that the dataset is not really big. Given this fact, we had to come up with some mock-data sometimes to get to relevant results.
Context
As stated in the project description, Abalanza is a new company without any ICT knowledge present whithing te company. The two inventors of the Abalanza module have a background in sports and fitness. Abalanza is a programma that helps people to stay healthy and vital by online coaching. The idea of the module came up, because a lot of people feel attached to their personal trainer, even when they move to a new home in a city further away from their coach. The programme is still in development, which gave the inventors of Abalanza the idea to do something with data. That is why they hired us.
Results
For Abalanza we thought the best option was to make a dashboard that shows which KPIs are important for Abalanza and how they score on them. This makes it easy for the customer (who has little to no knowledge of data) to see how his business is doing at the moment, and what the points of attention are within the module. Examples of tables that we have created in Tableau, are user satisfaction, user motivation and also financial KPI's. Those are ofcourse based on the data we have received from Abalanza.
About the project group
Our group consists of people form different study backgrounds. Since this is a mnor, everyone was allowed to join, which makes it happen that we have 2 ICT students and 3 economics students in our group. We are also from different countries. We have a mix in Arabic, Indian, Vietnamese and ofcourse Dutch people.
