Project description
The main research question was: "How can a Lidar sensor be used to successfully navigate an automated guided vehicle through an aluminium hall (a so-called pot room)?". One of the challenges was to have the ROS working with their Windows application.
Context
ICT Technology robotics. The robust vehicle has to guide itself automaticly in an rough environment.
Results
We have created product that can easily be integrated in their existing system. The product is highly configurable based on certain parameters. Also an extensive research report has been made with validation of used techniques and an hardware advice for the company.
About the project group
This Semester 6 Prof assignment is all about performing and managing a project for an professional client. In 5 3week sprints with 6 working days per sprint, we as an group worked scrum based on the assignment of the customer. We develop something useful for the customer, a lot of communication is involved.
