Project description
How can we unlock and facilitate infantry land operations for a platoon in the cyber domain so that, in addition to the correct security and protection of own resources and people, they can also bring military effects to the cyber domain that add value to increasing or improving the strike power of a small infantry unit?
Context
The context surrounding the the project is as follows: the army has been sending soldiers into the field who have no knowledge in regards to the cyberdomain and it is not feasible for them to put a cyber specialist in each squad. For this reason they want to create an application that helps people , who have no knowledge about the cyberdomain, make objective decisions based on the information found in the cyberdomain.
Results
Our project is ready to support divisions during operations once the external communication that is received is coming from the drone used by Ministerie van Defensie. The data we receive right now is self-generated based on assumptions. The project can be deployed using the latest technology and is deployable on all operating systems. Therefore our application has TRL 6. A few more tweaks in the future and it is ready to go!
About the project group
Our group is not very varied. We are all software students, where four of us got a minor in cyber security, one in Virtual Reality and the last one in Sports Performance. We have spent three of the five work days on this project. It took us roughly 16 weeks to have a working prototype and the rest of the time has been used to look for improvements. We worked in an Agile manner using sprints and Jira.
