Project description
Care personnel usually doesn't have a clear vision about their career perspectives and possibilities to grow. Catherina hospital is conducting research on how to facilitate this group in this case. For this, they need a new concept to visually guide people through the possibilities they have. These possibilities are cumulative so every choice opens up new possibilities.
Context
The healthcare staff of the Catharina hospital in Eindhoven do not have a clear picture of their career prospects and growth opportunities. As a result, employees do not have an overview of personal development directions and it starts to feel like a lack of career opportunities.
It is up to us to design and develop an accessible online tool. This allows healthcare staff to see in a clear way what their career options are and which steps are required. It is important to give the nurses as broad a perspective as possible.
Results
We have created an app where employees of the Catharina Hospital can see their career-perspectives. In this app, they can log in and see information about various functions in healthcare. For example: it is possible to see the job description of each function and what kind of study or training is required for it.
Through frequent communication with the stakeholder and analysing different fields, such as: target audience, the context and stakeholder, as well as the problem, we came up with several conclusions. These conclusions were then offered to the stakeholder, which they validated in turn. Afterwards, we came up with solutions that were presented to the stakeholder once again. From the initial designs until the final prototype, we kept iterating and improving the product based on the feedback from our stakeholder.
