Project description
HERE wants to implement a live supply chain and material flow analysis into their future business-driven solution using industrial IoT (Internet of Things) standard 4.0.
This will give its users insight into the supply chain and material flow in their respective businesses and enables HERE to expand their portfolio of location-based services.
Context
The project was formed by HERE in an attempt to broaden its product portfolio. HERE is looking to expand its product portfolio as they see opportunities in combining its software solutions into a big IoT supply chain platform. For the project, we focused on supply chain and material flow analysis elements of the platform in an effort to determine what the current market looks like for IoT Supply chain platforms and what a potential platform solution should contain.
Results
The results from the project:
- Insights into how HERE can differentiate themselves from their competitors when developing a new IIoT platform without going through multiple years of development into a wrong product;
- A working prototype;
- Requirements;
- KPI's.
About the project group
The project lasted from February until June. All students are in the last phase of their Bachelor's and are graduating this or next year.
Every week we spent all time we had during all the courses on the project, approximately 30 hours per week. At the start of the project, we created a project plan and followed the plan during the entire project.
