Project description
The aim of the project was to develop a sustainable statistical model for automated data transfer between various locaions in Europe, incorporating open weather data, energy penalties and energy consumption considerations. The benefits of this project for the client would be cost savings, efficiency, sustainability and automation. The main research question was: How can a statistical model be made for labeling data centres regarding the weather data, energy source consumption and regarding the energetic penalty.
Context
SUE is dedicated to designing, building, managing, and enhancing IT infrastructure. Its aim is to deliver flawless and efficient solutions within the client's budget. With over 25 years of experience in IT assignments, SUE serves as change facilitators, guiding businesses not only to adapt but also to excel in a dynamic and digital era. Currently, the data transfer to other datacentres is still done manually by SUE. The question is how this process can be made more efficient and cost-effective through a model. This constitutes the rationale behind the project.
Results
The outcome of the project is a fully dynamic and real-time dashboard for the client alongside a research report and recommendations. The dashboard is deployed in the streamlit cloud and is available for the public through this url.
