Project description
Dynamic switching between LTE-M and NB-IoT result in power efficiency and a higher connection success rate adapting to different signal conditions.
Context
Healthcare
Results
This study focused on developing and testing a dynamic switching strategy between LTE-M and NB-IoT to optimize energy efficiency and connectivity for wearable IoT devices. A flexible testing platform was created by integrating a Sequans GM02S modem with a Raspberry Pi, simulating healthcare-oriented data transmission scenarios. Python scripts automated Attention (AT) command execution and data uploads to ensure consistent timing and reproducibility.
