AI Travel Assistant

You have booked your dream holiday, but what can you do nearby?
The main goal of this project is to provide preference based recommendations, generated with the help of AI.

Context

We received the challenge from Cre8ion labs. It's for one of their clients called "EccoItalia". EccoItalia is a travel agency that helps their clients book personalised vacations in Italy. They really take the time to understand the client and help them.

After booking the vacation with EccoItalia, the client will receive an email 1-2 weeks before they leave for their destination. In that email will be a link to our application where we will receive the destination and help the client with preferenced based recommendations on what to do in that area.

Results

The most important outcome was to have a functioning AI model that returned personalised recommendations. Cre8ion labs wanted to see how AI could be used for this type of project so it was very important to have a working model.

Next to the AI model, it was important to have a working way of collecting data for the AI to use. We did this by first researching and sending out surveys. We came to an conclusion that the most users wanted to fill in a survey if they knew it was gonna give them personalised recommendations back.

The end result is a flow where the user fills in the survey, we receive their preferences and pass it along to the AI to work with and the AI returns recommendations based on their choices.
