Creating a sustainable document management structure
Project description
As CTouch keeps expanding, all departments will create more documents surrounding sustainability which need to be saved somewhere which is easily and quickly accessible. The problem is that CTouch does not have a solution where this is the case. With all their departments using different methods for storing their documents and storing these documents in different locations, it can be quite difficult to find the needed documents. The documents types that CTouch uses are PDF, Excel, Pictures or Power BI files. To fix this CTouch choose our company, TechTango.
The plan during this project is to research the best application for CTouch to store their documents within one general place. This place needs to store all the old documents and requires a way to easily put new documents in. By doing this the different departments can easily access each document from every department.
Within this project plan, the foundation to start the project will be described. The project plan will give a comprehensive overview of all key project components, including their objectives, timelines, organizational structure, resource allocation, and management strategies. The plan serves as the framework of the project, which will ensure efficient project management and act as a benchmark for the success of the project.
Context
CTouch is a manufacturer that produces and sells interactive touchscreens for educational and corporate purposes. The company is based within Eindhoven, a city in the Netherlands. CTouch is a relatively small company with only sixty employees divided in Warehouse, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Business Development & Sales, Product & Innovation and Service & Training despite that the company still sells their products in thirty countries around the world (CTouch, sd).
CTouch also lays a strong focus on becoming as sustainable as possible which already made them the most sustainable touchscreen manufacturer in the world. However, CTouch still wants to improve more, with an aim to make a real and significant impact on the environment. CTouch will accomplish this by lowering their CO2 footprint by 60% and increasing the circularity of their products by 25% in 2025 (CTouch, sd).
Results
The main result is an new SharePoint environment with an easy ready to use document structure
