Which is the best way to detect trash in pictures taken by a drone?
Context
A drone is scheduled to conduct aerial surveillance over a designated field, tasked with scanning for any presence of trash. The drone will capture images of the field from an elevated perspective and transmit these images to the cloud. Our application's objective is to analyze these images using image detection techniques to identify and locate any instances of trash. Subsequently, the application will generate a heatmap visualizing the distribution of trash across the field based on the detected instances.
Results
We will generate a heatmap indicating the locations where trash has been detected. This tool aims to assist companies in effectively identifying areas requiring cleaning on their premises.
About the project group
All team members hold a HAVO qualification. We dedicated two to three days per week to this project, allocating tasks among ourselves accordingly.
